The New Democrats have won the British Columbia election as voters have given John Horgan a second term after taking a gamble on calling an election during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As of 9:31 pm, the BC NDP is leading or elected in 54 ridings, the BC Liberals are leading or elected in 30 ridings, and the BC Greens are leading or elected in 3.
Forty-four seats are needed in the 87-seat legislature to form a majority government.
