J&G Fried Chicken is giving away FREE popcorn chicken for a year
There’s a new fried chicken spot in town, and they’re opening a location in downtown Vancouver — but that’s not all. They’re giving away FREE popcorn chicken for an entire year.
That’s right, an entire year.
Popular Taiwanese fried chicken franchise J&G Fried Chicken started off as a food cart on the side of the street in Taiwan in 1973, and 46 years later, it has grown into a global business with over 200 stores in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.
With its first North American location opening in Burnaby at the Crystal Mall last December, J&G is now opening its second location on Robson Street!

J&G is known for their signature popcorn chicken, made of fresh boneless and skinless chicken breast, chopped into bite-sized pieces and marinated with their exclusive (and top secret!) spices. While the signature popcorn chicken has been a hot selling item since 1973, J&G prides itself as a deep-frying expert providing authentic Taiwanese-style deep-fried foods — for example, the very Instagram-worthy heart-shaped deep-fried cutlet, which is crispy and juicy with every bite.
When it comes to quality, J&G doesn’t compromise! Every item on the menu is made with local fresh chicken (nothing frozen), and in order to recreate the legendary flavour J&G is known for, all their spices and seasonings are imported directly from Taiwan.

On Saturday, July 6 J&G will be holding their Robson Street Grand Opening event, where the first 50 customers will get free signature popcorn chicken for an entire year (terms and conditions apply).
What’s more, J&G’s signature popcorn chicken will also be buy-one-get-one-free from 1 pm until 4 pm. In a fun and eventful day, the day will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by a Chinese Lion Dance. J&G will also be handing out swag all day including cellphone accessories such as pop sockets and ring stands — so don’t miss out!
