Japadog Eating Contest YVR Vancouver August 17

Dec 19 2017, 2:01 pm

How many Japadogs can you eat in 10 minutes? Personally I’d probably say two tops and that won’t be even close to what veteran hot dog munchers can do. This summer the Japadog food cart located at the Vancouver International airport will be holding a hot dog eating contest to see how many Japadogs one can devour in 10 minutes.

On Friday, August 17 from 12:30 – 1:00 p.m., six competitors will line up at the Haida Gwaii, The Spirit of the Jade Canoe in the International Terminal, Level 3 to compete for hotdog glory, $250 YVR bucks and a $50 Japadog gift certificate.

So you think you have what it takes? Potential contestants must visit the YVR Japadog food cart, located at Chester Johnson Park (just outside International Terminal, level 2) between July 13th and August 8th to submit an entry form. Contestants’ names will be randomly drawn on Thursday, August 9th and contacted by telephone. All participants will be awarded $15 YVR bucks and a $10 Japadog gift certificate, just for coming out and stuffing their faces!

If you think one yummy Terimayo may be your limit, come out to the airport on the 17th to cheer on the competitors and witness what could be the Olympics of eating.

If you think you got what it takes go and register now.
