Kijiji founder Janet Bannister announced as #BCTECHSummit keynote

The 2020 #BCTECHSummit is only a few months away and will bring together an impressive list of global and local innovators.

This morning, the #BCTECHSummit announced Janet Bannister, founder of Kijiji and first managing partner of Real Ventures, as this year’s keynote speaker.

Powered by Innovate BC, and presented by Rogers, the theme for this year’s #BCTECHSummit is Scaling Up for Global Growth.

From June 1 to 2, the event will connect technology leaders, industry executives, investors, senior government officials, researchers, and students, allowing them to share insights, experiences and opportunities.

Bannister is known to be one of the most high-profile and successful venture capitalists in the country. At the 2020 #BCTECHSummit, she will share insights into what companies need to do to scale-up into global, industry-defining businesses and how organizations can succeed in the innovation economy.

“Janet Bannister has worked with some of the biggest companies in the world and is playing a pivotal role in helping the next wave of Canadian startups scale up for global growth,” said Innovate BC’s President and CEO, Raghwa Gopal, in a statement.

The #BCTECHSummit takes place from June 1 to 2, at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
