Italian Day Vancouver 2015 on Commercial Drive

Dec 19 2017, 11:11 pm

Vancouver’s Italian Day is one of the most anticipated events of the summer, bringing delectable food, drink and culture to Commercial Drive for the “oohs and ahs” of thousands of festival goers.

Italian Day 2015 is back on Sunday, June 14 on Commercial Drive, Vancouver’s original Little Italy, and will offer anything grom Italian inventions to Italian goods and lifestyle, as well as the products of Italian history and culture found in our very own backyard.

With a rich history of over 50 years, Commercial Drive’s Italian heritage is reignited and The Drive is transformed into a vibrant street festival. Organized by the Italian Day Festival Society in conjunction with The Commercial Drive Business Society and The Italian Cultural Centre, the festival shares the spirit of all that is Italian with Vancouver’s multi-cultural community, showcasing food, performing arts, fashion, exhibits and activities.

Since its return in 2010, Italian Day has become one of Vancouver’s most celebrated cultural festivals with over 300,000 attendees in 2013, more than doubling the previous year’s attendance.

*Commercial Drive will be closed to vehicle traffic and parking in surrounding areas is limited. Public transit is a recommended alternative. The #20 bus runs along Clark Drive, and the event entrance is within a short walk from the Commercial/Broadway Skytrain Station.
