Family moving company hits milestone anniversary, one move at a time

A husband and wife entrepreneurial duo are celebrating a milestone year for their Metro Vancouver moving company in 2026, and they’re excited to see where their journey takes them as well as their customers.

Taras Perepadchenko and Inna Koshel are the founders of I&T Excellent Movers, which is celebrating its fifth year in operation.

According to Koshel, it was their realization that they shared similar business and life principles that led them to start their company, which has become one of the largest household goods movers in the region.

“Taras and I are a family team, in life and in business,” said Koshel to Daily Hive. “We actually came to Canada separately and met here on February 2, 2020, which really changed everything for us.

“Soon after, we realized we shared the same values about work and how people should be treated, and that’s how the company started.”

I&T Excellent Movers provides local and long-distance moving services, with its team of movers helping to load and transport across British Columbia and Canada.

The Tsawwassen-based company has a crew with a combined 50 years of experience with real estate moves ranging from apartments, houses, offices, businesses, and more.

“As of March 2026, we’ve completed over 3,650 moves,” Koshel added. “Each year, we handle a few hundred moves, with summer being the busiest. But no matter the volume, we always focus on quality.”

According to Perepadchenko, I&T Excellent Movers treats every move personally.

“It’s not just boxes, it’s people’s homes and lives,” said Perepadchenko, who manages operations for the company, including crews, logistics, and everything happening on-site.

“We’ve handled everything from pianos to difficult staircases and tight spaces — every move has its own challenges. But seeing everything come together at the end of the day and a happy client makes it all worth it.”

I&T Excellent Movers offers a wide variety of services, including furniture moving, senior moves, and last-minute rush requests.

Koshel, who handles the client communication and estimates for I&T Excellent Movers, explained that their own experience played a big role in how they run the company.

“We know what it’s like to start over in a new country, and how stressful moving can be,” said Koshel. “We wanted to build a moving company people can actually trust.”

With the busy summer moving season ahead, the entrepreneurial duo shared advice on what people can do to prepare for the big day.

“Label everything and communicate details like parking or access in advance,” said Perepadchenko. “Preparation makes a big difference.”

“Book earlier than you think, especially in busy seasons,” added Koshel. “Also, decluttering before the move really helps.

“For us, the most memorable part is the people and their stories. Sometimes it’s a move after many years in the same home, and sometimes the start of a new chapter. In those moments, we’re reminded that our work is not just about logistics, but about supporting people through important transitions.”
