Eat waffles for a good cause March 25 at Café Medina

March 25 is International Waffle Day, and Vancouver’s Café Medina is offering diners a chance to help out a great cause with every waffle ordered at the popular downtown restaurant.

Chances are if Café Medina is the destination, waffles are on the agenda. They make some of the best in town (in addition to their menu of tantalizing brunch classics and new signature dishes).

For every one of Café Medina’s signature Belgian Liège waffles ordered on March 25, the restaurant will feed one person through Mealshare, a non-profit initiative that partners with local restaurants to provide meals to the less fortunate.

“Café Medina is famous for their waffles and such a passionate supporter of their community at large, so what better way to celebrate International Waffle Day?” says Derek Juno, VP of Business Development with Mealshare.

For their part, Café Medina is delighted to have another delicious way to support Mealshare. The restaurant already gives back daily to Mealshare; with the order of each “Le Peameal” bacon and egg sandwich served daily, Café Medina donates a meal back to those in need. Since launching the partnership last summer, Café Medina has provided 2,873 meals throughout the local community.

International Waffle Day is another great way the restaurant can give back. Customers also have another waffle-related way to give back: Check out their website for details about their #WaffleShare contest.
