Dec 20 2017, 1:22 am

The International Summer Night Market is the place to go to try a variety of diverse flavours. If you haven’t been already you’re missing out on all the food, and if you have…well you know you’re going to miss it when it’s gone.

As summer is coming to an end, so is the night market. Before it’s gone for the year, here are a few things you have to take a bite of when you’re there.

Dim Sum

Woke up late and missed out on morning dim sum? No worries, the night market has got you covered with plenty of sui mai and ha gao. Along with the assortments of dim sum, they also have chewy fish balls on skewers, spicy or non-spicy curry fish balls and chow mein.

Salt & Pepper Taiwanese Chicken

It may not look like much but this Taiwanese chicken is a definite night market staple. It’s the perfect bite sized popcorn chicken full of flavour. You’ll keep munching on it without even realizing you’ve finished the plate!

This time, we’re taking popcorn chicken literally. With unique blends of clean spices that are crisp and a surprisingly great combination with the popcorn,  the all natural Chicken’s Fav Breading is great on not just the chicken they sell at the night market, but also on tofu, mushrooms, cauliflower…the point is, if you can bread it, you can throw on Chicken’s Fav Breading on it. They now also sell the breading packages at Choices Market on Willingdon and Lougheed at the Solo District.

Halal Skewers

Ready for more meat?! Chicken, beef, and lamb the ISNM has got you covered for any type of juicy skewer you want. Watching them grill up your order will just have your mouth watering till you’re down to the last skewer.

Moving onto seafood, you can’t miss out on the freshly grilled BBQ squid where they give out generous portions per order. You can also get them in different flavours such as garlic or add a little bit of extra spice.

Miss Lina

Inspired by the famous Lady M Millie Crêpes, Miss Lina presents you their version of the crêpe cake. In between the 20 layers of crêpe is a balanced mousse filling, all together taking an hour and a half to create one whole cake. Its chewy and fluffy texture will satisfy your sweet tooth without a doubt.

Sugar Twist Cotton Candy

For a lighter treat, Sugar Twist will hit the spot. What makes Sugar Twist interesting is their crazy creative formations of cotton candy. From planets to flowers to even ducks, seems like this is just the beginning of their cotton candy creations.
