The International Freeski Film Festival (IF3) is coming to Vancouver on Saturday November 20th. The festival was created to bring together the best of the freeski world. Their goal is to showcase the talent that freeskiing has been fostering over the years, to gather the industry, to create public awareness of skiing’s new dynamic emergence and to expose skiing to the public.
IF3 showcases premieres from the top freeski movies as well as from the best amateur movies. Further, they have offered us a couple of passes to giveaway!
History of the Event
The event began in 2007 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where the annual International Freeskiing Film Festival takes place and is considered a must attend by virtually everyone in the freeski world, complete with multiple world premieres, wild parties and the infamous Newschoolers Awards. Now in its fourth year of operation, IF3 has embarked on a global expansion, first with IF3 Europe in Annecy, France, which took place from September 30th – October 3rd, and the two-stop IF3 ‘On The Road’ tour, which began in Toronto on October 16th and will make its way to Vancouver on Saturday, November 20th.
When the event touches down in Vancouver it will begin noon at the iconic Vogue Theatre on Granville Street, where 10 of the best films premiered at IF3 Montreal will be shown, followed by an after party and appearances by numerous athletes from the films.
