Yaletown is throwing a street party to commemorate the 2010 Winter Games Anniversary as Illuminate Yaletown returns for its second year. During the 2010 Winter Games, Yaletown hosted non-stop street entertainment, fire dancers and light art in what was undoubtedly Vancouver’s biggest neighbourhood party.

To mark the 1st anniversary of the 2010 Games, the Yaletown Business Improvement Association is pleased to announce the second annual illuminate Yaletown. This is a free, multi-night, entertainment filled street party, featuring spectacular light installations from local artists. In 2009, twenty-thousand people came out to celebrate the twenty-seven light-based art installations created by nineteen diverse artists. This year, the celebration has evolved into a two night event giving Vancouverites the opportunity to view breathtaking art while also commemorating the excitement and pride experienced during the 2010 Winter Games, one year previous.
