IKEA to offer $1 breakfast at locations across Canada

The most important meal of the day just got a whole lot more affordable as IKEA introduces a new $1 breakfast offer across Canada.

Everyone’s favourite Swedish furniture brand is at it again, making sure that accessibly-priced food — and furniture, for that matter — is available to one and all.

After slashing its restaurant prices by 50 per cent earlier this summer, the retailer has now announced that, as of Saturday, Sept. 13, it’s launching a year centred around affordable cooking and eating.

It all starts by offering its Traditional Breakfast for just $1 to IKEA Family Members from opening until 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13.

The meal, which typically goes for $3.99 (not too shabby, even at full price), consists of scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and your choice of sausage or bacon. What more could you possibly hope for?

Better yet, all proceeds from this promotion are going to Breakfast Club of Canada, so that, while you dig into your affordable breakfast, you’re helping someone else do the very same thing.

“Collaborations like this one with IKEA Canada are vital to our mission,” says Tommy Kulczyk, the president and CEO of Breakfast Club of Canada.

“We’re proud to work alongside IKEA Canada to help ensure more children across the country start their day nourished and ready to thrive.”

This promo, and others to come throughout the year, are only available to IKEA Family Members. It’s free, and you can sign up online, so we’d say for a $1 breakfast, it’s probably worth it.

Now, if you don’t mind, we’re off to go find a $7 latte.
