Hudson's Bay at Oakridge Centre undergoing liquidation sale
Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC) distributed a notice over the weekend informing customers that it is conducting a liquidation sale of its Oakridge Centre store location.
Everything in the store is between 30% to 50% off the lowest ticketed price.
Early this month, a spokesperson with HBC told Daily Hive the Oakridge Centre store will close on March 24, 2021. This is being performed to allow for the demolition of the store for the accelerated timeline of the redevelopment of the entire shopping centre.

A new two-storey, 140,000 sq. ft. Hudson’s Bay store will be built in the redevelopment. It is expected to open in 2024, along with a significant portion of the mall’s new retail and rooftop public park.
For anyone who has not been to Oakridge Centre in awhile, they should note that much has changed in terms of access and parking, as the mall is now a large construction zone.
Most of the parking is inaccessible, and the indoor mall corridors have been blocked off, requiring detours. Furthermore, most of the businesses have already closed to make way for demolition and construction.
