Good things come to those who wait, and in the case of Hot Star Large Fried Chicken Vancouver, this couldn’t be more true.

The Taiwanese chain of fast food outlets originating at the Taipei Shi-Lin Night Market is known for its massive (bigger than your face) chicken cutlets served in paper sleeves, and people are pumped for the first BC location to open its doors.

The Hot Star Canada team told Daily Hive that the first ever Vancouver outpost, which was originally scheduled to open this summer, has been postponed to late fall due to “permit and renovation issues.”

We’ve inquired about the timelines for the other three BC locations in the works: Metrotown, Coquitlam, and a 1,500-sq-ft spot at Central at Garden City in Richmond, and will update you as we receive word.

The chain first made its Canadian debut in 2015 and now numbers three locations in the Greater Toronto Area and is expanding rapidly in Southern Ontario.
