HootSuite, the world’s most widely used social relationship platform, had a record quarter landing 186 new Enterprise customers and growing its App Directory to over 90+ integrations since its launch in late 2011. The acquisition of social analytics solution uberVU in January helped drive demand for HootSuite’s Enterprise solution, which now has more than 1,300 customers, including 744 of the Fortune 1000.
The 186 new customers HootSuite Enterprise welcomed in Q1 span a broad range of industries, including agencies, media, education, finance and government and includes one of the world’s largest military forces. Customer wins in Q1 include Orange S.A., JetStar Airways, and Cambridge University Press, as well as one of the top European-based luxury auto manufacturers.
In addition to customer gains, HootSuite also experienced tremendous employee growth in Q1, filling 112 new roles and bringing the global headcount to over 500 staff. Key hires were made to expand HootSuite’s leadership team, including the appointment of new CTO Ajai Sehgal. Sehgal brings 18 years of expertise in building high-growth, high-volume development organizations to his role at HootSuite, heading the company’s team of software engineers and driving product strategy. The addition of experienced senior talent with proven skills in leading teams and scaling infrastructure through rapid expansion is strategic for the company.
Partnerships, Product Innovation and Platform
In January, HootSuite acquired uberVU, an innovative social analytics solution. HootSuite and uberVU combine the next generation of social analytics with the power of the world’s leading social relationship platform to help organizations understand the value of their social relationships and drive more meaning from the conversations happening on social media. HootSuite also introduced an uberVU integration in the App Directory, which brings keywords, brand mentions, and competitive monitoring from across the web into HootSuite’s robust social engagement solution for immediate action.
HootSuite’s Security and Compliance Managed Services was launched in Q1, a solution for enterprises to protect their brands from internal and external threats. This offering creates a secure and complete environment for policy management and enforcement across entire organizations with social asset audits, situational simulations, and profile monitoring.
The company also announced HootSuite Labs during SXSW, a team focused on developing the next generation of social technologies. Labs develops disruptive products and promotes lean innovation that provide customers with tools to maintain an unfair advantage against competition.
HootSuite’s first quarter of 2014 also saw the addition of almost 20 new integrations to HootSuite’s App Directory, including uberVU, Google Drive, Kapost, Dropbox, and Chinese apps Sina Weibo, Tencent Weibo, Sina Weibo Analytics and Tencent Weibo Analytics. The HootSuite App Directory offers 90+ apps and partner integrations and has seen 1.4+ million installs to-date with the most popular business apps being Marketo, Salesforce and Zendesk.
“Growing adoption of HootSuite Enterprise in Q1 shows that social is playing a huge role across large-scale global organizations,” said Ryan Holmes, CEO of HootSuite. “For the rest of 2014, we will stay focused on forming even more strategic partnerships and developing innovative solutions that help our customers evolve with the pace of social business.”
