Last night’s show presented by Thailand provided the proper sendoff to this year’s Celebration of Light. The night also saw the largest crowds of the three fireworks nights, which had generally positive and well-behaved crowds according to the Vancouver Police Department.
For Thailand night, between 300,000 to 350,000 people watched the fireworks from Vancouver’s public parks and beaches. In total, all three fireworks nights drew an estimated 1.2-million revellers.
No major incidents were reported by the VPD for Thailand night. However, as with every fireworks night there were some minor offences and violations.

The winner of this year’s fireworks competition will be announced on Wednesday. The general public is able to have a say by rating for the winner at the Celebration of Light’s website.
