Homicide investigators arrive at Maple Ridge crime scene

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says there will be no update into a death in Maple Ridge until at least tomorrow.

IHIT has confirmed they are on the scene of a death at 216th Street and Lougheed Highway, but neither they or Ridge Meadows RCMP have confirmed the gender of the person killed, when it happened, and how it happened.

Dan Herbranson with Ridge Meadows RCMP would only say they are investigating a serious incident.

The area had been taped off since early this morning.
