Holt Renfrew is launching their “Holiday Workshop by HProject,” a three consecutive weekend spotlight on local brands. To kick it off, the luxury department store is hosting a unique workshop on November 28 and 29 that allows you to create a custom wallet made completely from repurposed materials.

Nocturnal Workshop, a local accessories label, is running the Wallet Customization Lab where you can build your own nylon wallet repurposed from production waste that would otherwise be sent to the landfill. The pieces are too small to create backpacks or larger accessories from, so a wallet is a perfect fit.

Customers can choose from three sizes of wallet, four colour bases, as well as leather pockets, sleeves, and several zipper colours. A skilled Nocturnal Workshop sewer will then create your custom piece in sequence right before your eyes.

The wallets start at just $55 and make the perfect stocking stuffer or gift for someone you love with an environmentally conscious spirit.

And as a bonus, Vancity Buzz’s Vancity Shop pop-up shop is selling Nocturnal Workshop pieces, but only until Sunday, November 22, so come in and grab a gift for a special person in your life.
