FEATURED ON THE LISTED GUIDE
Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! festival is returning to Metro Vancouver with a whole weekend of 4-on-4 street hockey tournaments – and there’s still time to register your team.
This year, Play On! – the largest annual sports festival in Canada – is on June 25 and 26 at the YPK Integrated Training Centre in Pitt Meadows.
Tournaments are open to everyone, from beginners who’ve never played hockey before to future NHL superstars, with separate divisions for all genders, skill levels, and ages.

Hundreds of teams and thousands of players will take part in the games, which will run on 20 to 50 separate “street rinks” throughout the entire weekend.
The final registration deadline for teams is June 20 but early bird reduced pricing is available up until June 8.
Registered early birds, who tweet @playonvancouver with their team name and #PlayOnVanContest, could also win a Russell Wilson autographed football.
All players will receive a commemorative Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! t-shirt.

The first Play On! tournament was held in Nova Scotia in 2003 and has since expanded to include around 40 cities across Canada.
More than 1.5 million Canadians have now participated in a Play On! event.
If you don’t fancy playing, or don’t have a team to play with, Play On! referees and volunteers are also needed – sign up at on the Play On! website.
And if you just fancy watching, there’s a special treat for hockey fans – this year’s celebrity game will feature Daily Hive’s own Rob the Hockey Guy. Good luck Rob!
