High winds at West Vancouver's Ambleside Park enables local surfing (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

Locals were able to enjoy the thrill of surfing thanks to this morning’s high winds across the water.

Sustained strong winds of 40 to 60 kilometres per hour created waves large enough to entice some surfers to flock to Ambleside Park at West Vancouver. The area is a surfers’ secret whenever wind storms hit the region under fair weather skies.
