The recently-opened High Score is bringing a retro gaming lounge to the heart of downtown Vancouver.

Complete with video game consoles from the 80s, retro snacks and drinks, and some throwback television, it’s the perfect blast from the past.

The facility boasts over 200 titles across the NES, SNES, Sega Genesis and Atari 500.

A number of arcade and pinball games have also been added. Popular titles like Pac-Man, Mario Bros, and Galaga, as well as a “Retro or Die” arcade machine with close to 1000 games occupy the space, with more to be added in the coming months.

Themed events take place on certain weekdays, including Mario Monday, Wednesday Races, Friday Fight Night, and Sonic Saturday.

In between levels, visitors can dig into a candy-store style selection of retro candy and pop, and watch a continuous stream of throwback cartoons and movies.

High Score has also confirmed with Daily Hive that the facility is indeed 4/20 friendly. Patrons are welcome to bring their own cannabis and enjoy it as they wish.
