Burnaby's FREE 1920s Christmas village returns for the holidays
It’s easy to get overwhelmed with choices for holiday events around Vancouver. There are markets, ice skating, light festivals, and more to enjoy.
But the one Christmas event you can’t miss this year is Heritage Christmas at Burnaby Village Museum, presented by Concord Pacific from November 23, 2024, until January 3, 2025.

“Heritage Christmas is a beloved tradition in Burnaby, something that families from across the region look forward to each year,” Mayor Mike Hurley said in a release. “Taking in the holiday displays at Burnaby Village Museum is an unforgettable experience, full of magic, lights and holiday cheer—and it’s even more special that this event helps support those in need in our community.”
Wander the Burnaby Village Museum’s 10-acre site and take in all the seasonal entertainment, demonstrations and activities. Thousands of lights will line the old streets and be strung on the tall green trees, making this magical event even more special.
And Father Christmas will even be making an appearance on select days.

A special tree lighting ceremony for Bright in Burnaby will take place on November 30 at 6 pm, with all proceeds from carousel rides ($2.62 plus tax) between 5 and 9 pm going to support the Burnaby Christmas Bureau. Concord Pacific has also pledged to match all donations.
“For over three decades, Concord Pacific has been dedicated to supporting community programming in the communities we develop in. We wish the best of the season for all families and residents this year,” said Terry Hui, President and CEO of Concord Pacific in a statement.
