Okay it’s not official just yet but at least that is the consensus amongst NHL pundits. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Kesler either. Both are excellent choices. Anyways, tonight the guessing game is over as the Canucks will announce a captain at the opening ceremonies for their 40th season.
Also part of the 40th season ceremonies is the unveiling of the ring of honour. This ring will honour players that have contributed greatly to the Canucks history. The first person to be inducted will be Orland Kurtenbach.
Furthermore, tonight Rogers Arena will be lit up blue and green on the outside. This is a new initiative and will take place every home game to signify its game day. This is all to up the fan experience at games.
