The Vancouver Canucks will be likely without their captain and number one centre until after the NHL All-Star break, head coach Willie Desjardins said today.
Coach Desjardins says Henrik Sedin will likely be sent home from NYC. Won't likely be back in game action until after the All Star break.

If that timeline is correct, Henrik Sedin will be out of the Canucks’ lineup for 18 days, missing four games.
Henrik has 37 points in 44 games this season, despite rumours that he has been playing through pain for much of the season.
Henrik’s injury was the result of a hit-from-behind from the Islanders’ Mikhail Grabovski near the end of the first period of Sunday’s game. Grabovski will not face supplemental discipline from the NHL, though he was assessed a 5-minute major and a game misconduct during the game.

The injury comes just as the Canucks were starting to get healthy. Dan Hamhuis is skating again, and Brandon Sutter is close to returning.

The Canucks have three games remaining on their six-game eastern road trip, before returning home for one game ahead of the All-Star break.
