A Metro Vancouver BC SPCA shelter is seeking homes for five hedgehogs that were dropped off in its parking lot last week.

The critter litter were left outside the Maple Ridge branch on August 14.

The unexpected intakes prompted a call for donations from staff, as the facility was not prepared to take on the small animals.

They have now been dubbed the Jackson 5: Tito, Marlon, Michael, Jermaine, and Jackie.

The hedgehogs went through a veterinary check, and have been cleared for adoption.

The shelter says the group has been very popular — and will be available starting today.

All are very social, except Tito, who is still very shy of humans “and will need a loving and patient home to build his trust.”

If you are interested in adopting please contact the branch via email at [email protected] or by phone 604-463-9511.
