The 12th annual Hearts of Gold Gala helped to put a stop to heart disease and stroke by raising more than $600,000 for the cause.

The June 3 event, held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Vancouver, was hosted by Todd Talbot and Love It Or List It co-host Brian Curin.

Over the past 12 years, the Heart and Stroke Foundation has managed to raise more than $7 million to help make healthy lives a reality for Canadians.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation is a volunteer-based health charity that aims to reduce risk factors for heart disease by 10% and the Canadian death rate by 25% by 2020.

Daily Hive is a proud sponsor of the Hearts of Gold Gala.
