$2,000 Hearthstone tournament being hosted by The Gaming Stadium this weekend

As part of the Signature Series event calendar in partnership with Daily Hive, The Gaming Stadium is set to host a Hearthstone tournament this weekend with a prize pool of $2,000.

Released in 2014 by Blizzard Entertainment, the free-to-play digital card game has cascaded in popularity, amassing millions of players worldwide. This weekend’s event will be the fifth installment of The Gaming Stadium’s Signature Series, with past tournaments featuring games such as Valorant, Rocket League, Fortnite, and League of Legends.

The event is scheduled to take place the weekend after the Hearthstone World Championship, making for a fantastic viewing and playing experience. The following Grandmasters are also confirmed to be participating at this time:

  • nohandsgamer

Eddie, one of the confirmed GMs, happens to be a local BC player. Another confirmed GM, Bloodyface, recently competed in the World Championships, which took place on December 12 and 13.

Players can play to win a portion of The Gaming Stadium’s Signature Series $2,000 prize pool this weekend, broken down by 60%, 30% and 10% for first, second and third place, respectively.

This weekend’s event will be streamed live on Twitch, and interested participants in North America can register in any remaining spots through The Gaming Stadium.
