Health Canada has issued a recall on certain vitamins that may contain metal wire pieces.
According to the notice, Church and Dwight Canada Corp. is recalling certain lots of its L’il Critters Gummy Vites children’s vitamins, Vitafusion Fibre Well, and Vitafusion MultiVites vitamins for adults due to possible contamination.
After investigating consumers’ complaints, the company found thin, visible metal fragments about 25 mm long that are believed to be caused by a manufacturing issue.
The affected vitamins have expiration dates of 02/2022, 04/2022, 05/2022, or 11/2022.
“Health Canada is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall and the company’s implementation of any necessary corrective and preventative actions,” the health agency wrote.
“Should any additional recalls be deemed necessary, Health Canada will update the table below and inform Canadians.”
