Singer/songwriter Hayley Sales will bring the 2010 installment of The Live Sessions at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia (UBC) to its conclusion. The intimate concert is the third and final in a series of Thursday evening performances, featuring some of BC’s hottest musical talent. Hayley Sales’ delightful, bubbling voice and folk-inspired guitar jams from her newly released album When the Bird Became a Book will fill the Telus Studio Theatre on Thursday October 7, 2010 at 7pm. Hayley’s Vancouver Island roots are ever-present in her music, which is a peppy blend of pop, reggae, and folk. Listening to her smiling songs, one can easily imagine them originating from an acoustic guitar in a dense island forest, or from a radio on one of its windswept beaches.
The Live Sessions take place on three Thursday evenings at 7pm, beginning with Jon and Roy on September 23, followed by Art Napoleon on September 30, and closing with Hayley Sales on October 7. Each concert will be broadcast on CBC Radio 2’s Canada Live.
