What do you get when you mix four of Vancouver’s most successful online business leaders, 200 local, professional women, a silent auction filled with amazing items, wine and hors d’oeuvres? You get #YESdigi, an event that you, as a working professional or someone currently on the job hunt in Vancouver, do not want to miss.
YES! Vancouver is hosting their 8th annual Signature Speaker Series, Success in a Digital Era, at BCIT’s downtown campus on Wednesday, May 21. Aside from a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable insights from successful business owners and network with like-minded professionals in a comfortable setting, #YESdigi is also a great chance to give back to an extremely worthy cause: Dress for Success Vancouver. One-hundred per cent of all proceeds from this event (as well as every other YES! event) go directly to DFSV, an organization dedicated to helping disadvantaged women in Vancouver enter the workforce and build a stable career and life.
“We’re thrilled to bring in these movers and shakers for our Members and guests to learn from,” says Jen McParland, Co-Chair of YES! Vancouver. “Our panel boasts a wealth of experience in tech, web strategy, marketing and even shoes – there’s really something for everyone. It’s a great chance to dress up a little, have some fun, and take away some important advice from the crème de la crème of Vancouver’s tech world.”
Not your typical networking event
Ladies, this isn’t your typical networking event. Where else can you can pop over after work, indulge in some canapés and wine while you listen to an informative and entertaining panel, and then turn around to have some laughs and exchange some business cards with other amazing women like yourself – all the while knowing that you’re supporting a cause as amazing as Dress for Success Vancouver?
