Health Canada is advising Canadians that over a dozen hand sanitizers are being recalled across the country because they “may pose health risks.”
The federal agency says 15 hand sanitizers have been recalled and detailed product information so Canadians can easily identify and take appropriate action.
Canadians are encouraged to regularly check Health Canada for updates.

If you’ve purchased or have used one of the products listed below, Health Canada urges you to contact a health care professional and report any health product adverse events or complaints to the agency.
Health Canada says to stop using any of the listed products immediately and return the product to your local pharmacy for proper disposal.
Reasons for recall include:
- containing (or possibly containing) ingredients that are not permitted by Health Canada
- improper labelling
- missing risk statements
- being unauthorized for sale in Canada
- being sold without proper product testing
- being counterfeit
- having defective or faulty packaging
Health Canada will update its list if there are other affected products.
