A few weeks ago I proposed via twitter to our mayor that the city shut down Granville Street for Canucks Playoff games or at least the 3rd and final rounds (yes, I was confident we’d make it that far). I knew that wasn’t an easy task to do but it was done for the World Cup, so why not for our beloved Canucks. Well today the Mayor has stated that Hamilton Street (Between Georgia and Robson) will be shut down for the rest of the Canucks playoff run and will air on the CBC big screen. Bring your lawn chairs people and pray for good weather, it’s a free family fun event.
