Scary! This Vancouver store already has its Halloween display out | Daily Hive

July beach vibes are not over yet but it seems like Spooktober is here for some already.

Boo-lieve it or not, if you want to get your spook on early, some stores in Vancouver are selling Halloween decor almost three months before scary season begins.

So we took it upon ourselves to check it out. And they weren’t exactly difficult to find.

Called “The Halloween Bootique,” Michaels has dedicated an entire section of its store to fall decorations.

Michaels told Daily Hive that the campaign is actually fairly on schedule as it was set to kick off officially on the weekend.

“The 100-day countdown to Halloween begins on July 23, but we’ve already started with early drops of our seasonal décor and supplies for our customers who can’t wait to get in the Halloween spirit,” said Mandi Clark, lead trend and design expert at Michaels.

While most of the section is still empty — hopefully to be filled closer to October — the specialty store is currently carrying witch essentials, some spooky toys, and fake pumpkins in all shades of fall, if you want to get your eerie on early.

Michaels is going to continue to add more to this collection through July and August.

“Michaels’ seasonal supplies and componentry began arriving in stores in early July, so Halloween lovers can celebrate for the months to come,” said Clark.

Vancouverites were not the only ones to spot this Halloween eagerness — customers across North America are noticing the early displays as well. Twitter user @OrianaNichelle confirmed that Halloween has indeed arrived at Michaels. A little too soon, perhaps?

While some are shocked by these early displays, others have already stocked up on their spooky supplies.
