Canines in costumes: It's Vancouver's Halloween Dog Parade!

Dec 19 2017, 8:32 pm

Your favourite canine companions don’t have to feel left out of the Halloween dress-up merriment, thanks to the Vancouver Halloween Dog Parade.

On Saturday, October 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Second Beach Picnic Shelter in Stanley Park, dogs in costumes are invited to join in the fun at the Halloween Dog Parade.

You can enter your own dressed-up dog for a $5 fee, and be eligible to win prizes in the Dog Costume contest. It’s totally free, though, to just head over to take a look at the adorable costumed canines.

The event promises entertainment, crafts, raffles and other activities for children and adults.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Best Friends for Life Program, which provides food, medical care, leashes and warm blankets/clothing for dogs of low-income owners who live in Vancouver.
