Massive Halloween Party at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

Dec 19 2017, 8:13 pm

The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver will host one of the city’s largest Halloween parties on Friday, October 31.

Six ballrooms of the 1939-built historic hotel will be transformed into unique otherworldly experiences, including the best party DJs, mind-boggling illusions, a massive costume contest, a tequila-fuelled Day of the Dead fiesta, live music with professional dancers, and a comedic conjuring of the Lady in Red – the hotel’s famous ghost.

“Everyone who has attended any of our previous Halloween parties knows that all bets are off. In the past we’ve erected 16-storey amusement park rides and constructed haunted mazes to help create a fun, carnivalesque atmosphere. This year is going to be our biggest one yet,” says Arrival Agency’s Daniel Fazio.

The largest ballroom will feature an erotic, Las Vegas-style floorshow headlined by Pandora and the Locksmiths – a collective of professional singers, dancers, and musicians. They will join illusionist Travis Bernhardt and Go-Go dance troupe The Hot Pants.

Local comedians Sunday Service will headline the comedy room and conduct a seance of Jennie Pearl Cox a.k.a. Lady in Red. She passed away in a horrific car crash but is said to be haunting the hotel in one of her long, flowing gowns she wore while attending the opulent gatherings in the hotel’s ballroom during the 1930s and 1940s.

Four more ballrooms will feature rock ’n’ roll from the Ice Cream Social DJs, Cam Dales, Tyler Fedchuk, and Trevor Risk; hip hop from Redbull 3Style champion Nick Bike and the Rad Pack DJs Brendan Butter and Relly Rels; house and disco from acclaimed DJ-producers Neighbour, ESB, and Mirage Inc; and exotic rhythms from Tropidelica, who will be hosting a Day of the Dead Fiesta.

Discounted early bird tickets go on sale Thursday, September 16, with VIP and Room Packages to be available soon.
