It’s all the love at half the price.
The BC SPCA is offering 50% off of adult cat adoptions province-wide in a bid to get more cats off the streets as the mercury plummets this winter.
For every cat that is adopted, a shelter space is freed up for the welfare agency to bring in another feline from the cold.
Right now there are more than 1,400 cats in BC SPCA shelters across the province that need forever homes.
Adoption fees vary by branch, but the cost does include vaccinations, spaying or neutering, permanent ID and medical care. All cats are microchipped, and for a small fee your kitty will be registered in the province-wide BC Pet Registry – to ensure you will be reunited if your pet is ever lost.
The promotion applies for adult cats over six months old and runs from November 20 to 30.
You’re not out of luck if you’re still looking for a young kitten: There are plenty of those too. Whatever you do, please adopt from a local shelter instead of a pet store.
Adoptable cats can be viewed on the BC SPCA website, or you can visit any of the branches in person.
