Its method of teppanyaki style, which makes use of an “imono” iron griddle, will cool the Japanese dumplings into a crisp, juicy finish. While the main attraction will be gyozas, it will also offer in-house handcrafted ramen a well as a unique twist: ramen with tomato broth.
Other menu selections include sandwiches, modern Japanese small plates, specialty desserts, and Japanese alcohol from the tap.
The 80-seat, 2,600 square foot Gyoza Bar + Ramen is near Vancity Buzz headquarters and slated for a mid-July opening. It is the latest establishment by Aburi Restaurants Canada, which also owns Miku (70-200 Granville Street) next to Canada Place and Minami (1118 Mainland Street) in Yaletown.
