A new Vancouver-based website could be just the ticket for outdoor enthusiasts looking to hit the backcountry this summer. Guiides.com links adventurers with seasoned outdoor guides for everything from snowshoeing, to lake tours, to mountain traversing.

The company was started by ShareShed founder Daniel Dubois, who wanted B.C. and Alberta tourists to experience nature through the eyes of a local.

“For a few hours, you get to see the world through their eyes and that alone is an adventure worth having. It gives you a memory you will share again and again,” says Dubois in a statement.

Guiides.com is working alongside Google and the Association of Certified Mountain Guides to build a roster of certified mountain guides. Pricing ranges from $20 up to $1,795.

Other things they cover include hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, and backcountry skiing. While they’re limited to Western Canada for the time being, the company has goals to expand internationally to offer surf lessons in Bali, jungle treks in Costa Rica, and hikes in the Swiss Alps.

For more information, visit Guiides.com or find them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
