Guide to Metro Vancouver Night Markets 2015

There are so many incredible farmers’ markets all over Metro Vancouver, but in the summertime our streets are enlivened weekend evenings with several different night markets. These night markets bring together communities for entertainment, shopping, and wonderful food.

Here is our guide to Metro Vancouver Night Markets in 2015.

North Vancouver’s Shipyards Night Market

Head to North Vancouver Friday nights this summer for a vibrant gathering focused on local artisans, bakers, farmers, along with an array of artisans and vendors. There will be plenty of food trucks and other prepared eats, as well as a Beer Garden (for those 19+) and live music.

Day/Time: Fridays 5 to 10 p.m.
Dates: May 1 to September 25, 2015

Surrey Night Market

In its second season, the Surrey Night Market aims to get the community out and shopping in support of local vendors. The mission of the market is to provide Surrey residents a place to gather, shop, eat, and hang out on weekend nights in the warm weather months.

Day/Time: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays 6 to 11 p.m.
Dates: May 29 to September 20, 2015
Location: Cloverdale Exhibition Grounds, 17726-62 Avenue
Admission: $2 (regular admission). Free admission for: families of all Canadian Forces personnel and Veterans living in BC; children less than 48″ in height when accompanied by their families; wheelchair borne persons; and seniors over 75 years.

Richmond Night Market

Drawing crowds from all over Metro Vancouver, the Richmond Night Market is located within easy access of the Canada Line’s Bridgeport Station. Roam the aisles to find games, food, and all sorts of wares for sale. Late nighters take note, this is the only local night market open until midnight (Fridays and Saturdays).

Day/Time: Fridays and Saturdays 7 p.m. to Midnight, Sundays and holiday Mondays 7 to 11 p.m.
Dates: May 15 to October 12, 2015
Location: 8351 River Rd. (nearby Bridgeport Station)
Admission: $2.25 (regular admission) Kids 10 and under, seniors 60 and up are free.

International Summer Night Market

Each weekend over 20,000 visitors hit up this massive summertime night market in Richmond and experience the diverse array of booths, food and drink vendors, kids’ play area, and live entertainment. Look for special events like fashion shows, motorcycle night, an auto show, eating contest, scooter rally, and more.

Plaza of Nations Saturday Night Market

The Plaza of Nations Saturday Market is being launched by the Northshore Green Markets, the team behind Shipyards Night Market in North Vancouver. In its inaugural year, this night market will find the Plaza of Nations transformed into an outdoor marketplace, complete with food trucks, craft beer, and local bands.

Day/Time: Every Saturday from June 20 to September 12, 2015 (5 to 10 p.m.)
