Grouse Mountain has announced it’s opening for the ski season on Friday, November 20.

It’s the second North Shore mountain to open this season, behind Cypress, which opened earlier this month. Mount Seymour is scheduled to kick off its winter season on December 1.

Grouse is opening from 1 to 9 pm on Friday and will operate from 9 am to 9 pm on Saturday, November 21. Peak, Heaven’s Sake, and Paradise areas will be open.

“We are happy to safely welcome skiers and riders back to the slopes for the start of the winter season,” Grouse Mountain’s director of mountain operations, Grant Wahl, said in a news release.

The mountain has implemented several COVID-19-related safety measures, including requiring face masks on the resort property. Only people who are skiing or riding together will be able to sit on the same chairlift.
