Vancouver-raised, Montreal-based Claire Boucher, AKA Grimes has signed a management deal with entertainment powerhouse Roc Nation. Joining the likes of fellow contemporary artists M.I.A., HAIM and Rihanna, Grimes states via tumblr that she’s joined the “X-Men”; a worthy comparison for their elite roster.
Not long ago was Boucher a part of Montreal’s underground music scene, making experimental pop music while taking Russian Literature and Neuroscience courses at McGill University. She now stands with what could be one of the most successful entertainment companies in the last decade.
