Grey Cup Road Closures in Vancouver

BC Place plays host to the 102nd Grey Cup Festival this weekend, and with it comes pending road clousures for events leading up to the big game. 

Despite the lower than expected ticket sales, downtown Vancouver will be busy this weekend.

Grey Cup Vancouver Road Closures

  • Wednesday, November 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 30 on Canada Place Way between Burrard and Howe Street
  • Wednesday, November 26 from 5 p.m. to 11:59 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 on Canada Place Way and Thurlow between Burrard and West Cordova

There will be barricades and traffic authority at Howe & Cordova, Burrard & Cordova and Thurlow and Cordova streets. The PlayNow.com main stage on Canada Place Way at Canada Place, and the Canadian Direct Insurance stage on Jack Poole Plaza will begin. Local access to the hotels, parkades (999, 1038 & 1055 Canada Place and 200 Burrard St) and Canada Place cruise ship terminal will continue to remain open.

There is also the TELUS Street Festival (11 a.m. to 9 p.m.) and Nissan Family Zone (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.) on November 27 to 29, as well.

Grey Cup Vancouver Parade Route

When: Saturday, November 29

  • Start: 10 a.m. at Smithe Street and Hornby Street
  • Finish: Noon at Dunsmuir Street and Granville Street

Where: Smithe Street, Burrard Street and Dunsmuir Street to Granville Street

Expect roads to be closed before and an hour or so after the parade.
