The massive drone show scheduled to take place in Vancouver this week has been rescheduled.
While it was originally supposed to take place tonight, the new start time is now 9:30 pm PT on Friday, November 15. The change is due to concerns about the weather forecast.
The performance is completely free and will be the largest-ever drone show in Canada. The plan is for 1,000 units to take to the sky and light up the city, the most units ever used in a Canadian drone show.
The weather on Friday looks better than the rest of the week and provides optimism that the show operators will be able to find a window without heavy rain or winds.
The best place to watch the drone show will be along the city’s waterfront near Coal Harbour. The map below shows the best viewing points for the spectacle.

āThis remarkable initiative led by our partners at Destination Vancouver and developed by Pixel Sky Animations further pushes the 2024 edition of the festival into the Grey Cup week history books,ā said Duane Vienneau, president of the BC Lions and co-chair of the 2024 Grey Cup Festival.
The drone show is just one of many free activities planned for the Grey Cup Festival in Vancouver this week. There are also plenty of free concerts and other events for fans to take in ahead of the big game.
