Wayne Gretzky's youngest daughter is engaged to former college football player

The Gretzky family will be celebrating yet another wedding in the family soon.
Wayne Gretzky’s youngest daughter, Emma, announced her engagement to ex-college football player Stone Eby on social media last week. The couple has been dating since November 2022, after meeting on campus at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas.
The 23-year-old will be the third of Gretzky’s kids to get married, after Paulina Gretzky married pro golfer Dustin Johnson in 2022 and Ty Gretzky exchanged vows with his wife, Sara, in 2020.
“The easiest yes to a lifetime with you,” Emma captioned the Instagram post.

The engagement has sparked excitement throughout the Gretzky family, as they flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages.
“Congratulations. Love You All!” said her mother, Janet Jones Gretzky.
“I’m crying! No one deserves this more,” wrote her sister, Paulina.
Eby played college football for five seasons with the SMU Mustangs between 2021 and 2025. The Texas native went undrafted at the 2026 NFL draft, but was invited to a Denver Broncos mini-camp earlier this year.
Emma, on the other hand, was on the university’s tennis team during her first two years at SMU.
The couple welcomed their first child last year, when Emma gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Walter, named after her grandfather. Wayne and Janet now have a total of seven grandchildren split between Emma, Paulina, Ty, and Trevor Gretzky.
Walter seems to be taking an early interest in hockey, as Emma shared an Instagram post of him lacing up the skates. He’s got a long way to go if he wants to live up to the Gretzky name.
“He got it from his papa,” Emma captioned the post, alluding to Wayne.

It’s hard to argue that Walter doesn’t have a perfect coach in the waiting with the Great One as his grandfather.
