A popular block party is returning to downtown Vancouver this weekend, and commuters are being warned of road closures along two major streets.
Granville Block Party, presented by the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association, is happening on Saturday, Aug. 23, and Sunday, Aug. 24.
The intersection of Granville Street and Robson Street will transform into a pedestrian-only street festival from 1 to 7 p.m. on both days. And organizers say the family-friendly event is a showcase for the neighbourhood’s businesses.
