Gorilla Food quietly shutters both locations

Vancouver’s vegan eats enthusiasts have had to bid farewell to Gorilla Food, after the company has closed up both their locations.

The Gorilla Food team posted this terse letter of explanation on their website:

Dear Gorilla Food Fam,

It is with mixed emotions that I share this update with you.

The Gorilla Food locations on Richards St. and Powell St. are now closed.

Many factors have been considered in this tough decision.

There have been so many beautiful experiences in these spaces!

The Gorilla Food mission and dreams are still moving forward. Keep watching!

I am forever grateful for this community that has helped make this magic happen! These years in Vancouver have been a blessing!

I’ll be in touch with another update soon!

With gratitude,

Aaron Ash : Gorilla Food

One Love!

In December 2014, Gorilla Food launched a crowdfunding campaign intended to raise money for a new location.

Gorilla Food was a popular staple in the local vegan community. Vegan sweets lovers will be happy to hear that the Powell Street location of Gorilla Food will next be home to the Vegan Pudding & Co.
