The Glowbal Restaurant Group has launched a delivery program for those in need in Vancouver.

Amid the state of the world, the group decided it was the perfect time to support a series of local charities by preparing and delivering healthy food.

Last week, Glowbal prepared 200 gourmet meals for the Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon. The food was delivered by off-duty firefighters who volunteered their time.

“With our restaurant locations temporarily closed, we wanted to take action and help members of our community who are struggling during this incredibly challenging period,” said Emad Yacoub, CEO at Glowbal Restaurant Group.

“With the launch of our new meal delivery program, we hope to support a variety of local charities and provide meals to those in need on a regular basis, while also continuing to employ our chefs at Glowbal Restaurant Group.”

This week, Glowbal Restaurant Group will be teaming up with A Loving Spoonful and VFC to deliver 200 chef-prepared meals to people living with HIV and co-existing illnesses in the Metro Vancouver area.

Glowbal Restaurant Group plans to continue the meal delivery program multiple times a week in partnership with a variety of charitable groups in the Vancouver area.
