Rare diamond and luxury timepiece GWC Vancouver store opening

Global Watch Company will open their new downtown location just in time for Valentine’s Day at 105, 925 West Georgia Street. GWC specializes in luxury timepieces and fine diamond jewellery and is known for featuring exceptional brands as Glashütte Original, Longines and the launch display will include a stunning 7.75 carat intense yellow diamond ring.

GWC, part of the Lugaro Group of Companies, is a concept store which will be located in the heart of Vancouver just minutes from the luxury brand heavy hitter Alberni Street and across from the historical Fairmont Hotel which houses Dior and Gucci.

Longines has generations of experience as official timekeeper of world championships and as partner of international sports federation. Known for the elegance of its timepieces, Longines is a member of the Swatch Group Ltd, the World’s leading manufacturer of horological products. With the winged hourglass as its emblem, the brand has outlets in over 130 countries.

“Demand for fancy colored diamonds is growing but production of the large diamond mines in the world is shrinking. Very soon, prices for fancy colored diamonds are going to skyrocket. The stronger the hue, the more rare the diamond is,” Sassan Pourfar, co-founder of GWC says. “To invest in or even view such precious diamonds is a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

The VIP Grand Opening Reception is a private invitation only event scheduled for January 29 with a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring local performers and refreshments. Also included is an opportunity to view the newest pieces by Longines and rare diamonds of 2 to 10 carats.
