Following shop-til-you-drop Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Tuesday marks “Giving Tuesday” — which is the biggest day of charitable giving of the year.

And lucky for Vancouver foodies, a new collab between the Vancouver Humane Society, the Happy Herd Farm Sanctuary and dozens of local businesses is helping give back to farm animals.
The two charities have teamed up with 26 businesses in Metro Vancouver offering plant-based fare to raise $15,000 — which will be used to help farmed animals in BC.

These participating businesses are offering a percentage of their sales on Giving Tuesday to the two groups, to help the menagerie of animals at the farm, and VHS’s Veg Outreach program, which includes Plant-Based Plates and GoVeg.ca.
Here’s a look at some of the participating eateries:
The Pie Hole – 15% of sales from vegan pies in-store or online on Dec 3rd
Chickpea Food Truck / Restaurant – 10% of sales from both the food truck and restaurant on December 3rd
Bluhouse Market & Café – 10% of sales on December 3rd will be donated to our campaign
Larry’s Market – $2 from every vegan pizza sold on December 3rd will be donated towards our campaign
Lotus Seed Vegan– 10% of all sales on December 3rd will be donated to our campaign
Panago Pizza – donating $1 from every small, medium and large vegan pizza sold on Tuesday, December 3rd at their Abbotsford locations
Tao Organics – 10% of sales from December 3rd will be donated to our campaign
