As previously announced, the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport will feature two luxury piazzas, and is designed as an open-air village, with pedestrian-friendly walkways and tree-lined streets. The mall’s first phase will span 240,000 sq. ft. with 80 retailers, many of them being luxury brands. Eventually, the mall will span 400,000 sq. ft. with about 150 stores with emphasis being on luxury designer brands.

The Giorgio Armani brand is synonymous with a luxury lifestyle and boasts a 40 year history within the fashion industry having launched his namesake label in 1975. This luxury fashion designer has personally overseen the growth of his brand to include signature menswear label to a luxury fashion empire including Giorgio Armani Privé and Emporio Armani apparel lines alongside accessories, footwear, cosmetics, hotels/resorts, chocolates and home decor. According to Forbes Magazine, Giorgio Armani is #174 on the world’s list of billionaires. His 2015 evaluation is $7.4 billion.

The Armani Group also focuses its attention on the products it launches on the market in terms of consumer safety protection and the impact on the environment of its production not by simply restricting itself to the requirements imposed by EU legislation but in compliance with the most stringent international limits.

In line with these objectives is its commitment to Zero Discharge 2020 and the set up of a Product Safety Control System with a web-based tool that allows international suppliers on production sites to ask and receive answers regarding compliance with social, environmental and security requirements within the workplace.
