Ghost Ridge Haunted House is an entirely volunteer-run event which acts as a fundraiser during the Halloween season. Started in 2004, the 9000 square foot dairy barn on the Maple Ridge Fairgrounds in Albion has been providing scares for those out in Maple Ridge.
The thing that makes Ghost Ridge different from all the other attractions is that they pride themselves on using very little in the way of manufactured props, most of their scares are created by their volunteers, both as builders and actors.
This year’s title is “If I Should Die Before I Wake…” and is loosely based on nightmares. It begins in a innocent child’s bedroom and as she drifts off to sleep, things go from bad to worse in a big hurry. This innocent child’s nightmares are pretty evil. Watch out for a claustrophobic hoarder’s lair, giant spiders, a corn maze, a beauty parlour gone very, very bad and many other scenes drawn from your nightly terrors.

Dates and Times: October 24 to October 30 from 6 pm to 9 pm nightly.

Cost: Admission is $8 per person, or $4 during the family-friendly hour. It is fully wheelchair-accessible and there is a group rate for groups of 10 or more, check their website for special nights.
